LEVEL 3 TUMBLING DESCRIPTION

Level 3 tumbling is designed for athletes who have mastered all Level 2 skills and are ready to perform them in a routine setting. These skills include:

Round Off 3 Back Handsprings

Standing 3 Back Handsprings

Bounder

Front Handspring Rebound

Round Off Back Handspring Back Tuck

The main differences between Level 2 and Level 3 include the introduction of more advanced skills such as front and back tucks, aerials, and front handspring fronts.Additionally, athletes should already be proficient in all Level 2 skills. The focus in Level 3 is on building consistency and perfecting techniques in back/front tucks, as well as connecting front handsprings to punch fronts and mastering aerials. This level also serves as a preparation for beginning Level 4 skills.

LEVEL 4 TUMBLING DESCRIPTION

Level 4 tumbling is for athletes who have mastered all Level 3 tumbling skills with strong technique and consistency. These skills include:

Round Off 3 Back Handsprings to Tuck

Standing Multiple Back Handsprings to Tuck

Punch Front

In Level 4, the main focus will be to ensure athletes can consistently perform the required tumbling skills for Level 4 routines. These skills include:

Layouts

Standing Back Tucks

Standing Back Handspring Back Tucks

Punch Front

Front Handspring Front Step Outs

Whips (after athletes have a strong, consistent layout)

Introduction to twisting (as athletes become ready)
